"Must you wag your tail that way? "
"I don't know what you are talking about, Adel, I am waiting, that's all." said Pufftail.
"You are making me nervous." she said. "I am trying to catch that mouse over there." Oops, it ran away. Now what am I going to catch for lunch?"
"I'm sorry, I can't go out and run anymore, you know. This back foot is hurting so." her father said.
The two cats are sitting next to a big stone wall, with many mouse holes. They wait for another mouse to poke its head out.
Pufftail, is a white long haired cat, past his prime. He limps, taking food that his slim tabby daughter catches for him.
"You know, I used to do all the mouse catching for the family, but you are a great mouse catcher now, get me a big one!" Pufftail said.
Adel, sits, waits and now just the tip of her tail is wagging. She croches so that the mice won't see her, hiding in the tuft of grass that grows at the bottom of the wall.
