Blogger Rachael : But now cats, we  have our own special Yoga.

Today, we have a special guest, Ramona to help us with the poses.

Ramona, please tell the class how you got interested in Cat Yoga!

Ramona: I saw my owner, Rachael come back from a Yoga class, and put down a mat and start to do along with the YouTube video all these interesting poses.

BR: And what pose did you like the most?

R: I must say I liked The Cat pose.

BR: Please show us the Cat pose.

R: Sure, but the Cat pose for cats is a bit different than what humans think is the cat pose:

BR: I see, what are you exactly doing in this pose?

R: Being a cat!

BR: Please show us more Cat Yoga!

R: I call this is point nose and point tail pose.

BR: That's impressive.

I've heard about Down dog, is there a similar pose for cats?

R: Yes, and here I show you the Down Cat:

BR: That doesn't seem to be too hard. What other poses can you do?

R: Yes, there are many Cat poses.

This is a popular pose, leaning up against the couch, paws closed, hold for five breaths.
Lie back down on your favorite chair, rest a bit.

And who can forget about the tail swish?

Lie back down, stretch left paw out, breath five deep breaths.

Point your nose down and out. Breathe for ten counts.

Left leg up, stretch toes apart, tail down.

Here is another tail pose, make sure you get the right wave.

This is the clean the stomach pose, stretch the paw close to the body.

Do the Baby pose, all four feet in the air, now move from this pose

to this one, three times.

If you have good balance you can do this one.  Best to have someone spot you in case you fall down!

Now for the cool down, rest in your favorite place, maybe in the olive tree,

Or next to the computer.

BR: Thank you Ramona for your wonderful instruction today in CAT YOGA!

Thanks to our secretary Rachael Orbach, and all you wonderful blog readers!
